I’m Annette Burke, and Annette Holistic Counselling was created through my own experience of grief, anxiety and personal transformation. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade in the corporate world. Outwardly, everything appeared fine, but deep down I always felt a calling to do something more meaningful. That inner voice became stronger as I navigated emotional challenges in my own life, leading me to explore counselling and psychotherapy both personally and professionally.
My approach is gentle, grounded and heart-led. I believe healing begins in spaces where we feel safe to be ourselves. I offer integrative counselling for adults (18+) that supports emotional wellbeing. I primarily work with people who are feeling anxious, lost or disconnected. Whether you’re coping with low self-worth, grief or simply the weight of everyday life, I’m here to support you in finding your way forward.
What I bring to this work is more than professional training. I bring ‘an authentic’ lived experience, empathy and a deep respect for the therapeutic process. I understand what it’s like to sit on the other side of the room, and I never take for granted the courage it takes to reach out.
My practice is guided by professional ethical standards, and I work under regular clinical supervision to ensure the highest quality of care. I also engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and am committed to providing a confidential and trustworthy space for all my clients.
